Hotspot password??

I tried to use my Pixel as a hotspot for my pc, and the pc system asked for a password. To the best of my memory, I never set one up for the Pixel in this context. Any words of wisdom?

Under Wi-Fi settings choose tethering and portable hotspot. Then there's an option to setup WiFi hotspot where you can set network name, choose security type, and change password.

If you tap and hold either the wifi icon or hotspot icon in the drop down it'll take you directly to wifi settings
