Hotspot Sometimes Doesn't recognize Connected User

Hello, I use my mobile hotspot on my Droid Increble 4g twice a day (to / from work), but run into an issue often (every couple days) where the green connected user, doesn't acknoledge a connection I made via my laptop. The problem is that after 10 minutes, it disconnects because it thinks there are no connections. I don't want to keep hotspot on all the time as it drains my battery.

Has anyone else seen this issue? My workaround is to reboot but it's a hassel. Am thinking to root my phone so I can automatically reboot each night, but wanted to first see if there is a solution out there.
