Hovering ball following my finger around on touch screen

I just got my S3 and it is amazing. But yesterday I got on the phone and noticed that now there is a gray ball that is following my finger around. It is bugging me. I don't know how to turn it off. I hope someone will have some input.

I thought it was a "spirit blob" like they show on Ghosthunters! Oh well.
