How are my earphones quieter on another device ?

how are my earphones quieter on another device ?

Recently i had purchased a new pair of earphones on amazon. They were a "genuine" samsung galaxy earphones. When i went to turn them up when plugged into my SGS2 they werent as loud as the previous set of earphones i had. What made it worse is that they were very loud on my SGT2. Can you help??

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry for the basic question, but you're sure the plug is in all the way, correct? You should feel and/or hear a click when it's in all the way.
