How are people getting 5 hours of screen on time?

I've only been able to get around 2.5 hours but I see people getting around 5. Are you guys using power saving and or dimming the screen?

I have everything pretty much on and screen at 50%. I get about 15 hours of use in a day and can only pull about 2. 5 hours of screen on time Before killing my phone. I'm not complaining but would enjoy to have my screen on for another few hours.

Give me any tips or any apps to uninstatall.

I get 4.5/5 hrs of screentime with approx 28/29 hrs of usage between charge.
I Don't use power saving but use greenify to hibrate few apps as soon as I am finish such as Facebook and messenger ( big battery hogs).

Also I have disabled bloat apps chat on, news stand etc.
Install wakelock detector and see what is keeping phone awake and disable the app or use app ops to block keep awake.

Google now is good and not hard on battery but when I have that on, screen time drops to 3/4 hrs still good.

Of course this is only possible if you are rooted.

you android system is very much so technically its something you installed causing your operating system to stay awake
from my personal experience android system and android os should be lesser than 10 percent or for me its even scary if that goes to 10 percent
i saw sony phone doesnt go about 5 percent which is good ... its some kind of wakelock or something and believe me there is not solution for that
