How are the instant notifications on the S24 Ultra?

Last Samsung phone I had was the S22 Ultra and the instant notifications were really bad.
Just wondering if the notification problem has been fixed on the latest S24 Ultra?

I sent a couple pictures from my iPhone to my fold 6, they to a little bit to get delivered, but that was the only time so who knows what caused that. I will tell you that my email always alerts on my fold 6 before the iPhone does.

That's my experience as well. Not just on my S24+, but the S20 FE before that, the S9 before that, the S8 before that, the BlackBerry Z10 before that...

That is to say, emails have never been a problem.

Now, for a long time, I had used the BlackBerry Hub for Android for emails, and of course the Z10 used the native Hub for emails that was built into the OS.

However, until the BB Hub adds MS 2FA support, I'm currently using the Samsung Email app, and i'm still getting instant notifications before even Outlook on my PC gets them. We're talking a second or two difference, so I'd say it's fairly instant.

Texts are pretty much instant. Texts with images may take a extra moment or two, but that's still quick enough for me.

Teams is also instant. But that's for work, so I do need instant for that, especially when I get a call over Teams.

How quick notifications from other apps are, I don't know. I've set very few other apps to even send notifications. I mean, it's not like I need anything instantly from LinkedIn or USA Today.

Spoke to someone with the S24 Ultra and she said it's still the same. If the phone is on the lock screen no notifications at all will show up but once you unlock the phone they all come crashing in at once.

Why will these phones not receive notifications if the phone is sitting for a while and on the lock screen?

Do you actually have "lock screen notifications" turned on?

My s24 ultra is delayed. I’ve tried all the hacks and shut off all optimization, but still have delayed notifications. My phone will be silent, but once I wake up the screen they come flooding in. Yes I have Lock Screen notifications on.

This is the only thing that really works: adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable It must be run on each boot, I have been using it for a few years and my notifications always come in immediately. I just set up a small batch file to run it...

I think the last Samsung phone I had that did not have notification issues. Was the note 10+. My S 21 was OK but after that everything seems to be delayed.
Even when I tried pixel phones, they’re worse than Samsung as far as delays. I got the pixel 9 Pro XL and literally nothing will come in unless I wake the screen up and all optimizations turned off.

I have the AOD on, and use Glimpse Notification app to turn on the screen to the lock screen when a new notification comes in so I see the bubble and a message preview for about 5 seconds before it goes off back to the AOD.

I see everything as they come in. No delays.

I've been using this setup since I got the S24+, carried over from my previous S20 FE, S9 and S8.

Gmail is bad, Facebook, Facebook messenger, Venmo, instagram,Mercari, my blink doorbell…. I could keep going lol

Basically Texts are not delayed….

That's what I'm thinking especially if they all come together flying in after opening the device

This happens to me sometimes. I had this happen on all my Samsung phones.
