This is one of the great mysteries of Android. :) No really seems to know for sure. It's not, apparently, based on location, phone number, date phone was placed in service, or any other pattern people have been able to discern.

What seems to be typical is that manufacturers will roll an update out to a fairly small number of phones in a given market, wait a bit to make sure there aren't any serious problems discovered, and then roll it out in multiple waves. And despite various theories you'll read on his and other sites, there doesn't seem to be anything you can do to speed it up. It'll show up eventually.

thanks for the reply

its a strange way of doing it

not like apple release an update to the word and all fight when it takes 2 days to download it and sort any bugs when they can be bothered lol

i was an apple user for 5 years upto 2 months ago and i am shocked on how far apple are behind but mugs like me loved them

so far loving the phone there is so much that can be customized

It all depends on if the phone is locked to a network. If so, then that network has the say when it's released to the phone. Say for instance you had a phone on o2 and got it unlocked, using an ee sim, it would still be an o2 phone. Only when a phone is factory unlocked from the manufacturer, its eligible for updates direct from them and not the carrier
