This is my first day with my extended battery, and here is my usage for the day. I've attached one in landscape as I feel it paints a better picture of battery life over time. It's currently on 4%. I'd call it light to medium use with 10 minutes of 4G WiFi tethering near the end of the day. I bump charged it to 100 right before bed yesterday and left it off the charger while I slept. I did turn off data/syncing while I was asleep, though. It's not like I'm going to be reading emails.
Here are my settings:
GPS: Always on (even when I was asleep). I don't use mobile network location, though. That constantly pulls on the battery, and GPS only connects when needed. The GPS in this phone has been amazing for me (and a lot better than my Captivate's was...) so all is in order there.
WiFi: On in areas that have it.
4G: Off, generally. I use it if I need something really fast, but there's no shortage of signal, 4G, 3G, or otherwise in my area. However, I am perfectly happy with 3G speeds, so I leave it at that.
Syncing: I synch two corporate accounts. I have it set to push when I'm at work and when I'm in a WiFi area, otherwise I set it to poll every 30 minutes.
Bluetooth: Off. I generally don't need it.
NFC: Off unless I need it.
Screen: Auto Brightness
For what it's worth, I tend to close apps I'm not using and I believe that opening camera first upon starting up does make a big difference. Someone posted some bug about how GTalk tries to activate the camera on startup and the sensor is left on unless you open and close the camera app. I'd say this has impacted my battery life for the better, even if it's only slightly.
Would we say this is good battery?
