It can be an estimation, but how big would a 1 min 4K video be?
Would a 32GB card be enough for 4K videos?

If it is like the note 3, around 350mb per minute. There is no option for uncompressed, at least on the note 3

4K on phones really seems like a novelty at this point, kinda a "Just because we can" thing.
Takes up a ton of space, not the best quality 4k, and nothing to view the content on anyway.
4K TVs are being released, I think its a good idea for phone companies to start implementing this in their phones before they actually get released
Sandisk has released a 128GB MicroSD card which I may consider so I can put movies and watch on my S5

I'm honestly curious about this. Exactly what do you think the benefit of a 4k screen on a phone would be, and why simply because high end 30 to 80 inch TV's are going to 4k would that necessarily mean 5 inch phones should?
Here's some numbers:
- The iPhone's "retina" screen, which is billed as at the limit of human visual perception, has a pixel density of 326 ppi.
- The Nexus 5 has a density of 445 ppi, which you strain to even begin to see at the closest distance you can focus (and I can focus @ 2.5 - 3 inches).
- A 5 inch screen with 4k resolution would be 926 ppi - over double the nexus 5.
- 4k video content is enormous - the film Timescapes is available @ 4k, the 52 minute movie is 120 gigs with ProRes encoding, 330 gigs with CineForm.
In all honesty, even IF the S5 had a 4k screen, and you were willing to dedicate an entire 128 gig SD card to each movie, your battery probably wouldn't last the duration of a single one with the little processor decoding and playing 4k video, AND you still wouldn't see any more clarity than a current 1080 screen.
So I'll ask again, exactly what do you think is the benefit of a 5 inch phone (even a 6 inch, hell, even a 7 inch tablet) having 4k resolution? Is watching movies THAT important to you? Sorry if this sounds harsh, but maybe you should get out and see the world in all it's resolution with your own eyes. Go skydiving, trust me, it's far more visually stunning than anything you can watch on TV... even a 4k one.
So you want to watch one movie?
Sony 4K movie service will work with PS4, require 100GB-plus downloads | The Verge
Just to give you realistic expectations of where 4k at. 4k probably won't be mainstream for at least another 5-10 years. TVs are being pushed because the manufacturers are looking for a new revenue stream, not because the content is there to be consumed.
I have that adapter which connects my phone to my TV and its actually pretty useful...If I were to get a 4K TV (which I am praying I can afford one), this will be amazing for me
I don't know, you might be right. I'm clearly out of touch, because I totally don't get this fascination with high definition television. Life's too short to spend time and money watching TV.
You'll still have the issue of having to store each movie on individual 128 gig SD cards at about $120 a pop. It just seems like such a huge hassle and likely an overall negative impact on the device (more memory requirements, more processor requirements, larger battery, etc.) just to use a product for a purpose which it really doesn't serve - the playback device for a high-end home theater system.
Hey, I'd like to be able to jump start my car with my phone, my battery is always dying, so it would be awesome for me, and if they COULD put in a battery large enough to jump start my car, I think they should. Just think how much battery life all the people who don't need to jump start their cars would get. It'd be win/win.
