How can Galaxy S7Gallery show recent contacts with default app (Message+) instead of Messages app?

It continues to show my recent messaged contacts at the top of the 'sharing' choices BUT with the Messages app (orange call-out icon) and not my default (and preferred) Message+ app (red call-outs icon). It isn't providing a quick access (like it used to) to my recent contacts with my preferred app (Message+) when choose to share an image. If it won't use my preferred app, then I'd like it to not show the recent messaged contacts at all (since it continues to ask me to switch my messaging app to Messages if I accidentally click on the person displayed).
