How can i change it back to where it doesnt put everything in my camera reel?

I just updated to Android 7.0 last weekend and the one thing that is really bugging me is that it now puts everything in my camera reel.

What i mean is that before I could take a screen shot, download an image, whatever and those would be in either a screenshots folder or a downloads folder and would not appear in my camera reel. Only pictures and videos that I took with my phone camera would appear in the camera reel.

Now everything is appearing there and I would like to change it back, but have no idea how.

Check your DCIM folder tree to see if these extra files are really being put there (when they should not be).
It could be that your picture viewer app needs some settings changes after the Nougat update.
