Not that I recommend it (if you haven't been trained to repair cellphones, you shouldn't attempt any repair requiring screw removal or a heat gun), but you take the back off the phone, unplug the battery, plug in the new one and put the back on. Of course, if you mess anything up (even the placement of a wire that has to sit in a certain place), you'll end up paying a lot more to get the phone working than you saved by changing the battery yourself (which is why I don't recommend that you do it).
