How can I change the data use cycle?

I posted this in the wrong forum, so here goes again! The data monitor on my GS4 runs from the first of the month to the last day of the month. My service provider bills me from the 11th, to the 10th of the following month. Before lollipop I could change the cycle on the phone....now it seems to be stuck! I want to record data usage from the 11th, to the 10th of the next month. Can I over-ride the settings on my phone? I have tried everything I can think of. I don't want to get EE to alter what it does, they're a pain in the bum.

Not a GS4 but this Nexus 6 is running Lollipop.

Settings -> Data usage:

Tap the date range to open sub menu:

​

Tap Change cycle to set a new start date:

​
