Google now shortcut in recents removed

this has been irritating me for quite a while, i use the shortcut for google now in the recent app menu, i was playing with some modules and it asked me - complete action using - i didn't understand what it was and i chose " nothing " and always, then i realised it was for the google now shortcut and i searched everywhere for a solution, i cant find a way to clear defaults.

instead of the shortcut i have a button " X " which does nothing.

can someone tell me how to clear the defaults so i can choose google now shortcut instead of nothing.

This is a shot in the dark..... What you need to do is install an app that registers as an action target like Google Search... Secure Settings Install that and go in and click that recents window shortcut... it might trigger the menu where you choose that action again.

If it does, select Google again and you can remove the Secure Settings app when done.

Not guaranteeing that this will work, but its worth a shot.

Welcome to Android Central. Go into Settings>apps>click menu. Then click reset app preferences. That will clear everything, in case your action does more than one thing.
