How can I downgrade from Lollipop to KitKat?

downgrade from Lollipop to KitKat ...

I upgraded my Google Nexus 5 ( Android) from KitKat to Lollipop which is where my problems began. Phone crashes after a few seconds to a minute of use. Works fine as long as connected to power source. Have reset to factory settings, but still no luck. Is it possible to reset to KitKat once Lollipop is on the phone? If so, how can this be done? Thanks for any help with this!
