How can I download my contacts from my Galaxy 5 to my KIA Sorento?

The car screen says downloading, but when it stops processing there is nothing there.

Welcome to Android Central! During that process, check the phone's screen to see if you have to agree to the contact transfer.

Also, this is something that I noticed with my Nexus 5 running Lollipop, trying to transfer contacts to a BMW: it didn't work if the Contacts app was set to display all contacts. Strangely, I had to open Contacts, tap Menu>Contacts to Display, then tap Customize (instead of All Contacts), then select all contacts there.
