How can I fix a Samsung Galaxy S4 restarting problem?

samsung galaxy s4 Restarting problem

I've have this phone for nearly two years. i was using it normally and recently noticed that my wall paper changed to a plain blue color, and it restarted randomly. now i cannot access the phone for more than 10 - 20 seconds, it will freeze and attempt a restart. another thing i noticed was that when it would restart, the faish blue/green colour would show up and then there woud be bars of the screen im currently viewing and black and then turns off.
I dont know what to do, i recently did a factory reset after updating and worked perfectly fine for a while .. and i have important documents and pics which i cannot afford to lose at any costs. PLEASE HELP !

Have you tried a new battery? I'm not saying that that's it, but if it gives you a chance of backing up your data, you'd probably consider it worth the price of buying one just to test that possible fix.
