How can I fix my frozen phone?

My phone froze

Going to email my phone froze .I have a black screen with the battery sign, time froze lite up at top.
Icons under Samsung at bottom lite up but I can't do anything

Welcome to the forums.

Try removing the battery for a few minutes, then replace. Get back to us if that doesn't work.

The battery may be failing. Has it seemed to be giving trouble of late?
