How can I fix my QI charging?

QI charging broken

The QI charging on my N5 has stopped working (it's the phone not the charger, I have multiple chargers, doesn't work on any of them). I've had the back cover off (while I was doing a battery replacement) and I didn't see anything wrong although there was a electical burn smell. BTW to make things clear the QI was broken before I did the battery replacement.

Has anyone been able to repair the QI on their N5?

How did the connectors look on the back of the cover that covered the battery?

There's a spot about 1 inch to the side and 1/2 inch down from the camera that you have to press and hear a 'snap' in order for the Qi charger to work after you remove the back cover. It's that round thing when you look on the inside of the back of the case and innard of the phone.

It seems to be a temporary fix. I checked the connectors when I removed the back again to put the original battery back in, the connectors look OK but there must be something wrong. I replaced the cover and snapped the QI connector back in. It worked for awhile but then stopped again.

I'm having the same problem. Will Google replace the phone?

When did you buy your phone? My phone is out of warranty so the only option is to send it to LG and pay for a repair. If you want to check if you are still covered contact the Google Play warranty center, they have a web from to fill out, then they give you an immediate call back (they promise two minute, I got the call is 30 seconds).

I'm just going to live with it until the 2015 phones come out.
