How can I get a battery for my Google Nexus 7 (2013)?

Google Nexus 7 (2013) problemos!!

So I bought a google nexus 7 last December in staples in NYC.
I've been having trouble charging it the last few weeks but it charged sometimes and other times not. Anyway yesterday. The battery went completely dead and now I cant for the life of me get it to charge at all.
I've tried different plugs, chargers, tried resetting it but nothing works.
I'm living in Ireland so I rang Asus uk and they will fix it if it has a global warranty but if it only has a US warranty I would be liable to pay for it.
Because I don't have the box I cant get the serial number to find out.
I rang staples and they don't know.
I tried to contact Asus USA but it seems impossible to get through to them.
Aaaaargh
Can anyone give me advice please?????

Google search will give you plenty of results where to buy a replacement....you'd then have to install it yourself or take it to a local electronics shop.

I wonder if the battery cable came loose. The should be tutorials available on how to get to the connector. This connector coming loose was common on the 2012 model

Your device serial# and Imie should be under settings and about device and status
