How can I get a Touchwiz app pop up to stop showing?

Touchwiz app

I have a samsung galaxy 4s mini. When i push the home button instead of taking me home i now get a pop up that asks which program, touch wiz home or touch wiz easy home. I cannot make this program go away and it really annoying. Also i have had this phone for a year and this is new. How do I fix this?

Hello. Try long pressing the Home button which accesses the Task Manager screen on the previous versions of Touchwiz like the S4 and my Note 3. There should be a Default Applications tab if you scroll across.

More directly you can go to Settings - General - Applications Manager - All - Touchwiz Easy Home, make sure the Clear Default button is greyed out, then go to the next TouchWiz Home, App Info page also and ensure the Clear Default button is available, which means Touchwiz Home is already set.

More drastically if you go to Applications Manager again and press Menu, you can Reset (all) App Preferences.

This has been an occasional bug anyway. You could try the Nova launcher, as I did just to add more homescreen icons, and the settings allow you to switch back to Touchwiz Home or Easy Home.
