How can I get my camera to auto focus?

Hi, the camera function on my phone has stopped working - it is now unable to auto focus and instead seems to constantly, gently vibrate, whilst being unable to capture a sharp image.

Welcome to Android Central! That sounds like a faulty camera module. The autofocus mechanism may have broken. You'll have to bring it to a repair shop (or contact HTC).

The lens may be scratched. Thats what happened to me . I polished the lens, now it auto focuses again
