How can I get my camera to word from the lock screen?

Camera from lock screen

I know this is not a Big issue However I am unable to get the camera to work from the lock screen. I have the icon in the lower right side and it makes those rings like it is activating but it does nothing. Also have the phone icon also and the same thing happens there too. Any suggestions ?

Swipe up on the camera to open it while locked.

The phone icon will only work as "emergency calls" - you have to set those up in the dialer first.

You are tapping/holding and dragging your finger out of the rings, right? You still have to swipe to unlock...

Like they've said, you've got to tap hold and slide the icon in order to launch the camera from the lock screen.

Correct - tap hold and slide the icon. That is what the blinking double arrow indicates. I can slide the camera icon upwards and launch the camera without unlocking the phone. When you are done with the camera and exit out of it, your phone automatically returns to the lock screen.
