How can I get my headhones working again on my S4?

Headhone issues

Hi everyone!

I've recently received the lollipop 5.0.1 update for my Galaxy S4 and since then, the buttons on my earphones stopped working. I did a hard reset and the phone is back at factory settings. Any ideas?
