How can I get my LAN working so my PC doesn't use my mobile data?

I need an input guys...
Lately, whatsapp has come with an option of whatsapp web. I have plugged in my mobile to desktop PC but the thing is it has been using my mobile data to communicate i don't want this to happen. I need it to use the LAN. Could someone help me out? Device driver has been installed perfectly on my system.
