Lg g3 gets stuck in boot loop

Help!
My phone since android 5.0 will restart of its own accord
It got worse when it would restart 10 times a day.
I did a factory reset and charged it to about 80℅ tried to unlock it and it restarted about 30 times until it turned on at 1% and died. It restarts multiple times a day and the only way to stop it is to put it on charge. This doesn't always work. It just restarted on charge but doesn't get stuck. It can't be an app because input it in safe mode and it did it straight away.

What do I do I'm going away for 5 days in 3 weeks where all I will have is power packs I don't want it to restart all day.
It also gets really hot and lags afterwards

Under warranty still ?
If so, get it replaced.

I'm in the UK its a three phone.
I bought it second hand but its belived to be nine months old.
Is warranty transferable?
I think its the battery and want to order a bigger one

Re: Lg g3 gets stuck in boot loop

I don't think the battery can cause boot loops.

Have you tried connecting it to and reconfiguring it with the LG PC Suite? This tool fixed my bricked LG Optimus G before.

Can you get a replacement battery from LG through warranty?

Amazon has a lot of replacements available at great prices. Please remember to read the reviews for them before you make a purchase if you are so inclined.

Re: Lg g3 gets stuck in boot loop

i tried but as im second owner i cant
i bought one with 5* reviews arriving next wednesday

Re: Lg g3 gets stuck in boot loop

Isn't it still within LG 15mo warranty? They won't let you send it in for repair?

Re: Lg g3 gets stuck in boot loop

12 Mon yes but i have to pay. They won't tell me how much and even if I don't want to pay that much, I have to pay to get it back... Apple repaired my iPhone free when it wasn't even in warrenty

Re: Lg g3 gets stuck in boot loop

I thought the manufacturer warranty was valid regardless of who currently owns the device. Of course, you have to pay shipping...

Re: Lg g3 gets stuck in boot loop

Apparently not ... Lg were like that with my nexus 4, the battery leaked they said it was my fault £165 service charge. Didn't pay sold it faulty

I bought a phone off Ebay that had the same problem. I switched out my old battery, and now the phone works just fine. So YES, the battery CAN cause bootloops.

Needs a new battery

Would the battery also cause boot loops, very long boot time (it sits on the Verizon logo screen for five to fifteen minutes) spontaneous restarts and issues connecting to the network and WiFi? Mine started doing that last night. It also made some changes, like adding contacts to favorites who I removed a long time ago, making messenger the default text app and returning to the LG keyboard. I've cleared the cache and performed a hard reset (I think) but not a factory reset. I also get a "process system not responding" error message. It gets hot enough to feel through an Otterbox. I've had my phone since the autumn of 2014.
