How can I get my phone to play SD Card contents?

my phone not playing sd card contents

I purchased a new 32 gb memory card and i tranferred data from my old memiry card to my laptop and den to new 1.
While transferring data from laptop to new memory card it gave an error for every media file saying - Your device might not be able to read or play this . I pressed ignore and completed transfer. Now when i try to play songs it said media file not supported while the same media file was running when they were in my previous memory card .

Welcome to Android Central! How did you copy the files to the new SD card? Was the card in the phone, and the phone plugged into the computer via USB? Or was the SD card in the computer's SD reader? Try the latter--file transfer using the computer's own SD reader might be a little more reliable than file transfer via USB to a phone's microSD card.

I just realised even if i download stuff in either of my memory card the phone says media file not supported while when i move it to phone memory it does play it

What brands of SD card do you have? Did you buy them from a well-established store, or a random seller on eBay? The latter is more likely to sell you a counterfeit card. Use SD Insight to make sure the card is what it says it is.
