My phone won't recognize my music

I have a Samsung Note 3. My problem is that my phone won't recognize the mp3 that I manually put in. However, when I put them in the SD card, then I am able to listen to my songs. This just happened recently and it's kinda annoying. The same goes to my pictures and everything. I only see things that are on my card and not on the phone itself. Can anybody help me? :(

Re: My phone won't recognize my music

Are you saying that the apps don't find the files or can't play them whether do?

If it's they can't see them, which apps are you using? Can you find them with a file manager? If you can, does tapping on them launch an app to play them?

Copying media files to the phone doesn't make them show up in apps. You either have to restart the phone or run an app like media.Re.Scan after the copy. (Taking a picture or recording audio triggers the media scanner, copying files doesn't.)

What about my pictures also? I take pictures with my camera on my phone and they just get saved automatically to my card and not my phone.
