How can I get my Whatsapp notification to play only 8 seconds?

When I had my Galaxy S4, my whatsapp notifications played only 8 seconds of my ringtone, now I have an S5 and the whole song plays for my whatsapp notification and it is so annoying. How can I get it to only play 8 seconds?

Welcome to Android Central! How about using an app like Ringdroid to edit your ringtone down to 8 seconds, then save that file to the Notifications directory?
