How can I get my wifi to work with my social media apps on my S5?

wifi and social media on samsung phones

wifi dont work with social media apps i have a samsung s5 worked fine a week ago now mine nor my husband work at home all other computers and tablets work just fine???

Welcome to Android Central! Does it work on other wi-fi networks? Try rebooting your home router by unplugging its power for 10 seconds, then plugging it back in.

Facebook taking a week to load a video? Connect to your router with a computer. Look in the wifi (or wireless or WLAN) settings for the encryption. If it's TKIP or TKIP+AES, change it to AES. Then unplug the router for 60 seconds, plug it back in, forget the connection in the phone and create a new one. (Your computers and tablets will probably have to be reconnected, but that takes a few seconds each.)

I still haven't figured out the "why", just the "what".
