How can I get rid of a pattern lock screen?

my son has put a pattern lock screen on his samsung tab 4 and can not remember the code does anybody no how to remove this

Welcome to Android Central! Was this by accident? In order for your son to have set a pattern lock, he would have had to enter it, then enter it again as a confirmation. That's hard to do by accident.
