Android Central Question

US Cellular sets their phones up with some differences vs. the larger national carriers so I think that's why I cannot find any voicemail app or phone app in apps. The closest I can come is "contacts" ... I've cleared whole cache and stopped and started contacts but the VM notif is still there, meaning I have to literally call in every time I miss a call to make sure there are no real vm's.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? You can't find a Phone app? Open your App Drawer and look for either Dialer or Phone -- nothing there?

Phones don't necessarily have a voicemail app -- that's typically for visual voicemail, which would be a carrier-specific feature. Basic voicemail notifications would be related to the stock Phone/Dialer app.

Is this errant voicemail notification showing up in the status bar, or is it an unread count badge on an icon?
