How can I get S5 to skip searching through music when trying to transfer pics/videos?

When trying to import pictures and videos from the S5 to Windows 8 desktop, I connect the USB and then right click "import pictures and videos" button.

However, Windows goes through all of my music first (which takes a while) before it finds my pictures and videos in order to download.

Any way to tell windows to skip searching through music files during this search? Just go straight to music or videos.

The Import Pictures/Videos features in Windows is not very smart--it will just import everything, including random images that may have been cached by the browser or used by an app, as well as thumbnails. I would just avoid that function completely, and use Windows Explorer to manually select the files you want to transfer.

But then it takes a while because you have to keep clicking on the directories in the phone to finally get to that point.

It would be nice if there was an easier way to do this. Perhaps an App that selectively scans the S5 for only the files you specify to import.

Any ideas?

It never takes me more than a few seconds to navigate to the directory where photos are stored on my phone. Do you have many different directories where you organize photos?
