How can I get the screen to rotate in the netflix app?

If I'm laying on my side, and want to watch netflix, I'd prefer to have the video rotated for portrait mode even though that means seeing a smaller image. The tablet can't stand on its head, because the headphone jack is in the way. And the cases I've seen won't hold a tablet in that orientation, anyhow.

I realize that this is probably a shortcoming in the app, but wonder if there's some other app or means to force a screen rotation when in the Netflix app.
