How can I get the volume button to work like it used to on S5?

Samsung S5 after update. How can I get the volume button to work like it used to on S5? I could adjust ringtones, notifications, media, messages and now only have Ringtone and Media. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD THEY TAKE AWAY notifications and messages?!!! AND, I shouldn't have to go through so many steps to get my alarms to ring through. I always silence my phone at night so I am not disturbed and my alarms would work. They have OVER complicated things!!!
