moving the entire app to sd card

hi i am currently using the m8 and its a great companion . just that i am worrying about the space. When i look at the "apps" (settings > apps> downloaded) i realised that there is still memory taken up in the phone storage although i have moved it to the sd card ( selecting "move to sd card" after tapping the app ) . So is there any way of moving the memory in the phone storage to the sd card such that no remaining memory is left in the phone storage ? please help

thanks

Re: moving the entire app to sd card

you can use an app like linktosd but this only works if your device is rooted.
in any other case the data stays on the phone's internal memory.

Typically, no. Some information must be stored on the phone. It's like the registry on your computer. Some information must remain so that your phone knows it is there, or that it should be there, in case something goes wrong and retains the information that it was (at least at some point) installed on your phone--just like what happens on a computer.

How much must remain is always a mystery, and I don't know why it may leave so much sometimes, but it happens.
