How can i play movies from my S6 to the tv

I have a HDMI cord connected from my phone to my Toshiba tv and nothing is coming across. How can i get movies to play from my phone to my tv?

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, the S6 doesn't support MHL (which is how past Samsung phones are able to connect to a TV via a cord). You'll have to connect wirelessly, either with the Screen Mirroring feature (Is my Galaxy S6 Series device MHL compatible for use with an HDMI adapter?) or with Chromecast.

No home wifi is required with the Actiontec screenbeam mini 2. Also no cord required as it streams to the tv.
