How can I prevent texts from being deleted?

I noticed on the webOS site someone had made a patch to prevent texts and call history from being deleted. I was wondering if their is anything like that for android phones

Hi

You can use an app locker, from the Play Store, to lock specific apps. Just lock the actual Messaging icon from being opened. I'm assuming you're referring to other people deleting them, without your knowledge? As i don't think they delete by themselves.

"Messaging" has "Delete old messages" in settings. Email apps have a maximum number of messages they'll hole, if you're talking about that.

Sure, if you do what was done on the WebOS site - rewrite the app. there's a delete function. You'd have to at least password-protect it.
