how can I put apps on the edge of my samsung s6 edge

I just got a Samsung s6 edge and I am wondering if there's a way to put apps like whatsapp instagram etc on the edge. You can do that on the note edge but I can't seem to figure it out on the s6 edge

Pull that white-ish/grey-ish tab on the top right of the screen to the left.
You'll see the option to add contacts.
Pull it again to the left, you'll see the option to add apps.

Maybe I'm not understanding you but I can't seem to do this. Pull the tab to the left and I get the setup (gear) icon & 5 dots to add contacts. The tab is now missing. If I try to pull the gear to the left nothing happens. Are you sure it is possible with the s6 edge? I was under the impression that it wasn't possible.

Stay away from WhatsApp it is full of bloated software that is useless and makes your battery sluggish.

What carrier are you on? Sprint updated our S6 edge to include the apps edge like the S6 edge+ has. I'm not sure about the other carriers.

Figures, I had Sprint for years. I'm on AT&T now, no update yet. Guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed. I downloaded the app that mimics the real deal but it's a PITA. As soon as you tap the keyboard or anything near the edge the app bar slides out.
