recapture phone password or fingerprint setting

My SAMSUNG NOTE 5 phone was set up with a fingerprint access and a backup password. I had grease on my thumb print and it did not read my print 3 times, so now I have to use EMERGENCY PASSWORD. Which I do not have, seems I had written it down in my SAM+SUNG booklet, but can not find it.
so now I can not open my phone to use it,
HELP, I do not want to RESET the password, as it claims I will lose all my content

Welcome to Android Central! It's really important to remember your backup password for just this situation. You can't retrieve the password, because that would negate the whole security function of a password. If you fail the unlock enough times, does it ask you for your Google credentials?
