AC Question
how can I recover from spontaneous factory reset on Samsung s4
I was hiking yesterday with my phone in my pocket, pulling it out occasionally to take pictures. Then one time when I took it out it seemed to have done a factory reset--it was showing the EULA and walking through the setup wizards. I tried rebooting but it still brought me back to the setup wizard. I didn't have any reception out in the woods so I couldn't connect to my Google account. All my pictures, apps, contacts, etc. are gone. This raises two questions:
1. How and why would this have happened?! I might have forgotten to lock the screen when I put it in my pocket but can you really pocket-dial a factory reset?
2. Is there any way to recover from this?
