How can I recover my Private Mode Photos after changing to a new device?

Recently, I switched my Samsung Galaxy S6 to a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The seller used the USB connector and cable (included in the box of the S7 Edge) to transfer all my datas from my old device to the new one.

However, I had a couple of important photos in Private Mode on my S6 and I was wondering if the switch transfered them. Sadly, when I activate the mode on my S7 Edge, the private album doesn't appear as it used to on my old device.

To recover my pictures, I tried to activate the Private Mode and search in My Files, but I couldn't found any «private» or «private mode» content in the storage.

I don't have my S6 anymore since the dealer kept it in exchange of the S7 Edge.

Could someone help me?

Unfortunately Private mode data does not get backed up so they won't be on your new S7. They probably used Smart Switch to transfer your data across Frequently asked questions for Smart Switch Mobile
