Galaxy S6 - Forgot Backup Password for Settings App

I got my fingerprint wrong 5 times when trying to edit my fingerprint settings to add someone else's finger (the phone was on a stand), so I got prompted to type in my backup password, but apparently it's not the same one I use on my lock screen!
Is there any way to recover or reset this particular backup password? Every time I Google for an answer, all I get is people forgetting the backup password for their lock screens!

Try changing your security settings via your Google account online.

Ugh, I couldn't see the reply button
But yeah, I'll just copy-paste my comment
I hope me side-stepping the 10 post requirement thing isn't too bad

Hey, I'm the original poster, I didn't know that asking a quick question wouldn't let me reply to my own thread.
Where do I go to do this? I went here -> myaccount google com but selecting my phone doesn't give me any option for removing all security precautions.

Wait, no, I think you misunderstood me.
There's a different alternate password for your lock screen and to access the fingerprints menu in settings
I know my password for my lock screen, but I don't know the password for the fingerprints menu
Is there any hope? I would prefer not to root my phone.

You can try to factory reset the device with Android Manager, but if you get locked out, you are pretty much locked out.
