How can I stop my phone from unlocking after reboot?

phone unlocked for a few seconds after reboot

I just updated to lollipop on my galaxy note 4. first off, the battery ran super hot during the update, so I had to take the back off to cool down the phone. Second, when restart the phone and the reboot is complete, I'll have--for a few seconds--an opportunity to go into any apps. In other words, the phone is unlocked after boot up. I've opened texts, mail, etc. anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I get it on my LG G3. But if I try to open one of the apps, it doesn't work....just continues to the lock screen.
