Recommended apps notification showing on lock screen

When using headphones on my Samsung S4 prior to Lollipop update, the pull-down menu would show apps most used when I plug headphones in (I want it to show Clock for my alarm and my white noise app). Now it only shows apps I don't use at all.

Also, the "recommended apps" now shows up on my lock screen as an ever-present notification that only goes away if I uncheck ALL notifications. So, can't get text msg or email notifications.

Please help!

if you hold down the notification then hit the i it should let you force stop. not a permanent solution, but it works.

It doesn't.

A user has to jump through hoops to force stop the Recommended Applications program. Settings -> More -> Application manager -> All -> Recommended Applications

The screen where one can force-stop the app, there's no way to kill the "Run at startup", untick the Show notifications box, or hit Disable.

Complete nonsense! The only notifications I want on my lock screen are texts and phone calls, Android!

Doesn't exist in Lollipop on the S4
On my Verizon Wireless S4 with Lollipop it is

Settings -> My Device -> Display -> Notification panel -> Related apps -> Off

I have no idea if that setting may affect anything other than when headphones are plugged in.

Try

Setting > My Device> Display> Related Apps> On or Off

But if you hold down the related apps button, you are able to edit which programs show up.

Thank you...
