How can I stop unwanted pop up ads and a virus?

unwanted pop up ads and virus

I am getting pop up aids on my galaxy s5 active, my phone will vibrate then an ad will come up saying I have a virus and to download something to get rid of it I never download it though. It's getting very annoying to deal with now, I have Uninstalled apps but nothing has worked. What can I do instead of factory resetting my phone, because I wouldn't like to lose all of my stuff.

When do you get the ads? Only when browsing or does it pop up outside of that too?

i have this too and is not in an app but is also outside on anytime.

avast or 360 malware do not find the virus. :/

You might have to do a factory reset. AV apps don't do much most of the time
