How can I turn off my Galaxy S6 Active without using my screen?

[Android Central Question]

I recently charged my broken Galaxy S6 active to try and get some files off of it. However, the phone is constantly ringing with alarms. The screen is completely black and shattered so I can't see any information on the screen and even if I could I couldn't interact with anything via touching the screen. If anyone knows how to turn off the device without using the screen you would be a life saver! Please help, I'm losing my mind.

Welcome to Android Central! For Samsung devices, you can usually force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down together for about 20 seconds.
