How can I turn off the Google voice number option when trying to call on my Pixel XL?

When I connect my Pixel to my car and use voice to make a call, I always have to pick up my phone and choose google number or carrier number to make the call. I want the call to just go through using my carrier number. Please help

I recall this as an option in the Google Voice app. I have Fi now so I can't link my mobile phone to Voice in order to find the exact option.
