Android Central Question

I have disabled vibrate on notifications for all of my apps, except for Gmail. No matter what I've done (gone to apps&notifications -> gmail -> app notifications -> email -> turn off vibrate) it STILL vibrates. Is there a way to turn vibrate off other than what I've already done?

Welcome to Android Central! Try turning of the Vibrate with Calls option in the Settings>Sound menu as well.

Thanks, B. Diddy. I have vibrate off there. Trying to turn it off everywhere and Gmail seems to be the holdout.

Do you still want it to make a sound? If not, open Gmail, tap Menu>Settings>General Settings>Manage Notifications, tap Mail (not the toggle switch), then Importance, and change it to Medium.

Hmm, this is a head-scratcher. Gmail used to let you choose Vibrate or not, but it's combined now with Sound. I can't find a native way to turn off the vibration. Maybe there's a 3rd party app that can control it -- give SoundAbout a try.
