How can I unblock my LG Sprint Phone to make a call?

my lg sprint phone will not let me unlock it to make a call it

it will not scroll to the right to unlock it

Welcome to Android Central! Which LG phone? Do you mean you can't slide to unlock the lockscreen? Is there a PIN or password required? Is the touchscreen not responding at all?
